This week has been uneventful with the exception that some awesome girls had a little shower/shin dig for me last night. Considering I wasn't expecting any shower for this little guy, I was overwhelmed with gratitude for such great friends. They really went above and beyond, and not to mention it was so nice getting together with all of them before we head off in a week... yes, I can't believe my padres will be here in one week!
It is crazy how much I missed home in the beginning of this year and now I am so sad to go away for so long.. And it is even crazier that when we come back, bay will almost be 2 and we will have a 2 month old! Everyone else's kids will be so grown too.. it is just something I look forward to :)
side story: Brett watched baya for me while I went to the shower, so when I came home he was giving her a bath AT 9:30 AT NIGHT (past bedtime). Anyways, no biggy.... but she was playing in a ton of bubbles.. my first thought is, aw, that is so cute... my second thought is, hmm, we don't have any bubble bath....... lol
yes, he decided to use an entire bottle of hand soap and the rest of her johnsons shampoo haha... this is something I feel like only a dad would do. I couldnt be mad because they were having a blast together. Dad is just waaaay too fun let me tell you! And he also rationalized that she now has two more bath toys (aka the two empty bottles that can squirt water). TOO FUNNY.. this is why I love him. The last time I left them, I came back and her clothes were on backwards and she had a pen mustache... Brett likes to keep me on my toes :)) But I am always so grateful for him (and his interesting ways) lol.
Dish soap also works well for bubble baths!
