procrastination

Pretty much just like everything i do, i have put Christmas shopping off until the last moment lol. Brett and i really have to work on that. Granted we don't really have the money to do it which is sort of a necessity last time I checked lol. We just want to give so much to so many people but it's ok-- that day will come. As of now the poor college students are looking at just enjoying the company of great family and friends which is what is really important to us. I think we finally decided that we are going to go up to Abbyville with Brett's parents, brother, grandmother, and aunt Shirley to visit and stay Christmas Eve with his sister Sarah and the kids. We are very excited about going, it will be really nice to be together as a family, especially since we don't get to see brett's parents often these days either and we haven't gotten to see Sarah and the kids since we got married (going on 5 months) which seems like forever! We will be coming back on Christmas, so hopefully we will have the time to go by my parents as well :). Anyways we are definitely looking forward to it!

Brett and I are doing some reading in Luke this month to celebrate and focus on the birth of Christ, which is wonderful! Reading the scriptures brings us so close together and we definitely try to do it every night. Sometimes it's hard because I get tired way before he does, he is like the energizer bunny, and i clock out at like 10:30, and then I like to wake up earlier and he tends to sleep in, so our body clocks are a little off but it will get back on track when school starts back because we will both have to be up early everyday.

Today Brett is off, so it is so nice to share the time with each other. We are just relaxing around the house though, I am still in my PJs lol. Gotta have days like that though. I actually need to get up and clean and tidy up a little bit because Joe Jennings is coming over to home teach us, which we are looking forward to. It will be the first time we will get home taught being married!

Jack is getting soo much attention this break, and his training is getting much better! He is listening well too, he is such a sweet dog. When he is cold at night he loves snuggling under the covers with us and then once he warms up he will just crawl right out but he always as to be touching one of us, it's pretty adorable. Ya know, I have definitely come to realize that I am a much happier person when i don't have the stresses of school over my head, life is good. I love my husband and my family and friends. I am so blessed!
