nap time

well there are two sides to baya when it comes to nap time... 1) sweet and cuddly or 2) stubborn and resistant

We get to see both equally.

First off, there is nothing better when it comes to the first one. I will be laying down with her and she will put her little arm under my neck and wrap around and pull me close like she is the one trying to put me to sleep. She will tell me "shhhhh shhhhh" and we will either lay there quietly or talk about the day we had until she is out.

however.....

The latter can be quite frustrating, and admittedly I sometimes lose my patience and feel like such a bad mom because I can't figure out any other way to get her to lay down and close her eyes. I will say sternly, "lay down baya," and she will slightly lean back .... then "baya lay down!" and she will lean back a tiny bit more ..... then it's "LAY DOWN BAYA!!" and she will lean back with everything touching the bed BUT her head will NOT touch the pillow! lol and yes, this is slightly humorous in a way but after 2.5 hrs or it (and exhausted from having a newborn), it is not so funny at the time.
