3.5

Gosh, my baya girl is 3.5! She acts so much older though that it seems like she has been for a long time. When people ask how old she is, they are surprised when I say that she wasn't even 3 and a half. Baya, is very mature, intelligent, and she is a pretty decent size for her age.
Its fun learning as Ever grows and gains more personality that it's easier to determine their different personality traits. Baya likes to be in charge. She likes to boss her brothers around and have control of as many situations as possible. She is very strong in her convictions and a lot of times "wins" in the end...
Let me give an example... If I ask her to clean her room she is all of a sudden too tired and she needs a "break." Once we get passed that excuse we move on to, "no mom, I can't put that away! That is special to me!" And if that isn't enough she will just start playing with whatever I try to pick up or ask her to pick up. It is always a complete battle and I don't know how to enforce it without being mean or more stern than I want to be. (I tried a sticker chart, I tried bribing, I tried consequences) She is perfectly capable of this task. Again, she doesn't like it when we seem to be controlling of her, but she better get used to it real quick!!!
Anyways, that is my current small struggle with her, but other than that she is the absolute sweetest thing you will ever meet. She picks up on other peoples' emotions very easily. If one of her friends is sad, Baya is quick to find a toy they might like or sing them a song of encouragement. She is very social and observant of her surroundings. She really enjoys meeting new people and friends.
She enjoys being very active, but she also knows when to call it quits and come home for some down time. Her favorite "thing" right now is My Little Pony. She is very imaginative and likes to play with her small ponies and princesses. Baya, is girly in the fact that she likes playing dress up and being a princess, but most of her friends are boys, so she also likes to fight dragons, ninja turtles, and kick a soccer ball.
Baya has a very silly sense of humor. She laughs out loud at cartoons and movies (which I think is adorable). She has very good boundaries. She knows not to go far from me and always looks for cars. She just generally doesn't do things that are daring and pushing the limits. She enjoys learning knew things and has the attention span to do so. She reads and writes her name and a few other words, knows her letters and numbers, knows basic addition.
She is still a stinky eater (don't know if that will ever change.. sigh). She is a good height, but she is built very small. She wears a 5t shirt but a 2t bottom. She doesn't need a nap everyday, but on the days that I know have been or will be busy she gets one. Some of her nicknames she has acquired are princess, baya bear, bear, bearzies, bay bay, bay girl.

Bay was saying a prayer last night, and going through the things she was grateful for.... "I'm grateful the bee didn't sting us, and the red ants don't bite us. I'm grateful for my dresses, mom and dad, and for my windows. I'm grateful for my blessings......"
She says the most adorable things, and that sometimes I have to ask her to repeat herself because it was so random and I just want to make sure I heard it right haha.
I love this crazy girl. She is my best friend and partner in crime. I thank the Lord for her everyday.
