The kids were so fun that morning because they are getting more and more exited knowing what is going on. They got all of their favorite little things. Just small though, we didn't go all out this year. We made pancakes for breakfast and then dad was off to church for his early meetings while this momma got all three dressed in their Easter best. We were late. Ugh. The kids were cray cray (too much sugar), and wrangling the trio for the whole hour of sacrament meeting gave me 5 gray hairs! (I checked!) Anyways, Brett's talk went well, of course, even though I didn't really get to listen to it. And my lesson went well too. I love studying about the Savior. It always brings me such a peace. After church we went straight over to the Earharts little get together... We have 1-4 church, so our kids have not napped yet let me add. We visited and fed them. We came back home and I went and hid Easter eggs over in the field where we went and "planted" jelly beans the evening before. I think the Easter egg hunt was my favorite part of the day. The kids were so cute! Especially baya. We came back and watched a movie to wind down and then everyone went to bed.. Phew. It was busy but very fun and fulfilling. I can't wait to be home and celebrate with our family next year.
I'd just like to add that Easter always reminds me of how short our mortal lives really are and the true purpose of them. Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, walked this earth, teaching and healing and demonstrating for all of us the essence of pure love. He rose from the dead. He triumphed over evil. And He will come again is all is glory. Because of Him I can be forgiven. I can live with my family forever.
