my dearest Samantha
oh how I love to utter such words
as dew drops form in the morning sun,
you melt my heart with your eternal beauty.
I sleep at night and dream of you,
and when I wake up, I find my dreams are true. 
words cannot describe, the depth of love of which I have,
only a billion days of service can do such a thing. 
luckily we will be together forever and I will have such an opportunity!
it makes my heart ache to leave,
but I always wear your love on my sleeve.. 
just like Justin Beiber.

-brett's anniversary poem-

I see you there, 
waiting patient for the cloud to clear. 
though dimmed by sight and time, I see an angel waiting, 
her suitor seeking,
for love, a power drawing them ever near. 
time collapses and paths intertwine, 
and now I can call you mine. 
younger I imagined a wife and friend, 
who would need patience without end. 
loving. 
oh she is so loving with a tender embrace, 
every fear dissipates. 
sweeter than the sweetest fruit. 
in truth, she defines beauty. 
inwardly and outwardly are one in the same. 
a continuum of perfection. 
like two mirrors reflecting, 
your beauty if forever. 
my desire, simply to stand beside, 
and see our reflection ripple through time. 
and have kids and lessons learned, 
always side by side, 
we stand together. 
firm, unyielding, ferociously faithful,
though heaven come and hell to fall, 
our hands tightly clasped together. 
then winter come with its gray and old, 
and most of our story has been told, 
on bended knee I can barely rangle, 
but to thank God! 
I spent my life with an angel. 


needless to say.. super corny but I love it. Brett is so wonderful in every way. I am so grateful to be happily married to such a talented, intelligent, loving worthy priesthood holder. :)happy second anniversary to us!
